SEP 12 | Student E-Bike Safety Program Is Back

At SUPER73, we believe riding is about more than getting from one place to another. It’s about freedom, community, and exploring where the road takes you. But with that freedom comes responsibility.

That’s why we’re proud to support the Huntington Beach Police Department’s Student E-Bike Safety Program, an initiative designed to give young riders the knowledge and hands-on skills they need to ride safely and confidently in their community.

The program brings together student riders, parents, law enforcement, and community partners for practical safety education focused on the realities of riding an e-bike on public streets. Students learn important rules of the road while participating in hands-on training designed to build awareness, decision-making, and responsible riding habits.

The program was developed by HBPD as part of its broader commitment to improving e-bike safety in Huntington Beach. The department’s training includes real-world riding scenarios, emergency braking, obstacle navigation, reaction-time awareness, helmet use, and other essential skills.

A Safer Future Starts With Education

At SUPER73, we believe education is one of the most important tools we have to create a stronger e-bike community.

That means teaching riders to understand their bike, know the rules, respect pedestrians and other road users, wear appropriate safety gear, and make smart decisions every time they ride.

SUPER73 has proudly supported HBPD’s program by providing e-bikes for officer training and demo bikes for students who need one during the course. We’re excited to continue supporting programs that put safety and education at the center of the riding experience.
