Terrible brake system
"I've owned seven different electric bikes. Which all had different price points the cheapest one had better brakes, mechanical ones which stopped better and didn't make any noise out of the box brand new. It was a Himiway Cruiser. Customer service is not the best because you could call up in some lady refers you to an email for customer service which I was corresponding with somebody explaining my problems about the Super 73 brakes making noise when apply the brakes hard. It shakes the handlebars so it didn't stop safely. Super 73 says to realign the brakes, clean the rotors or take it to mechanical shop bike shop. After doing the first three things it still had the same problems. I think if you buy electric bicycle, you shouldn't have to spend any of your time or money, taking it to mechanic out of the box. Brand new. They end up sending me new rotors and pads and stated that I should take it to a bike shop professional mechanic to have them installed. That's gonna cost money so I decided to do myself and end up spending four hours scratching the bike removing the back tire off out of the drop in post. It's not an easy job to do by yourself nor should you have to do this if you have a brand new super 73. I wanna like the super 73 . I would say the look and finishes is 10 out of 10. It's pretty sad and bad that the mechanical parts of the bike is subpar. The second issue I had with this super 73. Is the battery and how it slides into the mount underneath the seat. After receiving the bike, I wanted to take it out for a ride before charging it for seven hours, so I put the battery underneath the seat which is brand new and hard to slide into the grooves. The owners manual does not state how you should slide it in and wait to hear the click so I rode the bike for five minutes around the neighborhood. Stop and took some pictures and got back on it. To ride 10 feet at 20 mph and hear something fall off. I look down and see that the battery came loose from underneath the seat and bounce over the cement like a basketball. Pretty much the super 73's been a headache since the minute I received it off the truck. It's sad to say for a company that's the leader in E bikes or the original E bike. customer service that's not so great. Hope this review helps anybody out"
